We in the Shire of Grey Gargoyles participate in a wide variety of Arts & Sciences of the Middle Ages and Rennaisance, including dance, cooking, instrumental and vocal music, brewing and vintning, making clothing, spinning and weaving, armouring, painting, calligraphy and illumination, pewter casting, leatherwork and many other diverse works.

Three of our members have received the accolade of the Laurel, the SCA's highest recognition of excellence in Arts & Sciences: Amelie d'Anjou for Music, Thomas Penyngton for Meadmaking and Diverse 14th Century Studies, and Sarafina Sinclair for Elizabethan Costuming.

To learn more about our activities and for contacts for particular activities, please contact our Minister for Arts & Sciences, Gregoras Syropoulos Balsamon (Doug Valenta). A&S activities generally coincide with fighter practices on Sunday.

Our shire hosts the Ayreton dance practice led by Alex Carter. Practice is open to any and all who wish to dance. We gather to dance every Wednesday barring disaster in the theatre on the 3rd floor of Ida Noyes Hall from 7:00 pm to 9 pm. First timers, please call before showing up. More info: (614) 354-5062

The Shire of Grey Gargoyles is apart of the Incipient Barony of Ayreton. Click here to find Arts and Sciences activites all over the greater Ayreton area.
