FREIHERR THOMAS DER KREUZFAHRER (Bryan Neverly)It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Our Baron, Freiherr Thomas der Kreuzfahrer. He had been ill for a short while but seemed to be recovering.  His last relapse was serious and unfortunately he passed away surrounded by his wife and son on November 5, 2012.  

His Obituary is below:

Bryan Neverly May 23, 1974 – November 5, 2012

SOUTH BEND- Bryan Neverly, 38, of South Bend passed away on November 5th. He was born May 23, 1974 in Fort Ord, CA to Robert S. and Virginia (Easton) Neverly. On September 27, 2003 he married Sarah E. Neverly. She survives along with a son Austin Freel, mother Virginia Neverly of Weirton, WV., two brothers; Raymond J. (Melanie) Neverly of Wheeling, WV and Dan (Barb) Freel of South Bend. Also surviving are several Aunts and Uncles; Charles E. (Jutta B.) Neverly, William (Sondra) Neverly, Kevin (Jeanie) Neverly all of Weirton, Allen (Cynthia) Neverly of Chester, WV., Scott (Elaine) Snider of Steubenville, OH., Penny Yardley of Omaha, NE., William (Rebecca) Martindale of Burley, ID., and Peggy Mangum of Wendover, Utah. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert S. Neverly and grandparents Charles E. (Mildred) Neverly and Raymond (Eve) Easton. Bryan, or Freiherr Thomas der Kreuzfahrer, was very active in the organization known as the SCA. He served for 8 years as knight marshal and youth marshal. He served as the beloved Baron to the local chapter, The Barony of the White Waters. He left behind a Baronial family, House Fox Rose family, and many other SCA families. A Celebration of Life Service for Bryan is planned for December 1st at 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 56405 Mayflower Road, South Bend, Indiana 46619. Father Kam will officiate the service. Following the service at the church at approximately 1:00 p.m. there will be a memorial service held at Pinhook Park Riverside Dr. at Boland Dr. in South Bend. Additional burial services will follow in West Virginia. Please contact family members for further information. Elkhart Cremation Services has been entrusted with the arrangements.
