Greetings To the People of the Middle Kingdom,
We write from Our estates in the sunny southern end of the Kingdom and hope this finds you healthy and happy. This April was the Grand Tournament of the Dragon, which held a Tournament of Chivalry and a Tournament of Defense. Also, in April was the Dragon’s Hoard event which held a Tournament of the Arts. Many took up their arms, dusted off their art or science project, and reignited their will to train with the experts in those fields. We were very excited by these events and the celebrations of skill!
With the coming of spring comes the planning for summer events. For Us, the blooming of spring flowers heralds the nearing of the completion of Our reign. Last July, We made the decision to fight in Crown Tournament with hopes of assisting the Kingdom in a return to events. We discussed Our plans and hopes for the Kingdom with hearts full of love for the Middle Kingdom and each of you. We were inspired by the dedication shown by the people of the Dragon during the difficult times of the year prior and have continued to be inspired through the difficulties that we have faced since. You all gave us hope for a day when the sun could once again shine as we stood smiling all together once again. As May fast approaches, so does the sun of summer. As we await the call of war horns, We also are filled with joy that we can all once again attend events and be in each other’s company.
We began this reign with a vision of the Kingdom-that we are all ONE, all united as Midrealmers. Though each of us may do something different, we are each a part of the Dragon whether it be the claws, wings, or eyes. No one part is the whole, but when put together they form a mighty beast. We are proud to have served once again as Monarchs, but we are prouder of this Kingdom and of you. Each of you is a key part of the Dragon Victorious. DRACO INVICTUS!
Soon, we will retire to our farm, sow seeds, plan for winter, build, and ready ourselves for the harvest of life. Thank you for all the help and support you have given Us over the last few months. Thanks to Our staff and those who have supported them. There is no reign without many good sets of hands behind the scenes doing what needs to be done. We give Our deepest thanks to the Curia Regis, the Royal Peers, and the officers of local groups. Finally, We would like to thank you, the People of the Midrealm, for being simply awesome! We appreciate you!!!
