The Pale – November Letter from the KMOAS

It’s October! Which means I’m writing the letter for November. Time to break out the pumpkin spice… errrr, poudre douce, and enjoy something hot and mulled around a fire – even if the fire has to be on a computer screen.

First, I want to thank Lote for running the Tournament of Arts these past few years. We’ve seen some amazing growth in the event, and each one has been an improvement over the last. Lote
has retired to a warm mulled beverage, leaving ToA in the capable hands of Angharad Ferch Tangwystl. I’m looking forward to seeing what new ideas she brings to the table – to the vast collections of tables that make a ToA.

Second, my Brendoken Baronial MOAS had to step down on short notice due to an injury. Thanks, Lady Lena Krieger, for your service. I hope for a speedy recovery. Stepping in will be Eleanore van Tyne, who’s been serving as Lena’s deputy. Eleanore created that amazing clay brazier decorated with the Brendoken armory for Kingdom A&S Faire last year.

The next Regional A&S Faire will be hosted by Carriag Ban on 7 December. Watch the Kingdom
calendar for details. Other upcoming events include Smiths, Bakers, Weavers, and Wrights, 11–13
October; Midrealm Bardic Madness, 2 November; Fall RUM and Dancer’s Revolt, 9 November; and
Midlands Artisan’s Day, 16 November. As always, check event details. Almost every event has some
kind of A&S activity, so get out there and show your stuff!

Finally, I’ve a job opening for the Constellation Regional MOAS. Check the Kingdom jobs board for
more information.

Thanks for doing all that you do to make our Kingdom smarter and more beautiful

In service,

Tommaso Franceschi, OL
Minister of Arts & Sciences of the Middle Kingdom
