Greetings, Midrealm!
Your Dragon Herald is back in the office. I would like to express my deepest appreciation to my deputy, Ragna stórráða Úlfsdóttir, for all the work she has done and will be doing. She has been a fantastic person with which to work.
I also wish to thank Kyrios Kallinikos Gavras for his work as Rouge Scarpe (external submission deputy). He has done excellent work in the office. His successor will be published next month.
We are coming out of the chill of winter and heading into the warmth of spring. This means that Crown Tournament will soon be upon us. However, before Crown, we will have Coronation where Their Highnesses have some fun things planned (I don’t have details at this time). They will be in need of heralds for the day.
Please consider bringing your personal heraldry for display at Coronation and Crown. These small additions make for a more pleasant atmosphere and add to the pageantry of the day.
Now, for other job posting information. It is time for me to begin the process of finding a successor. I have found this job to be very fulfilling. The job has helped me grow and expand my knowledge of the Kingdom, the Great Officers who serve, and meet more members of the populace. We are a diverse and vibrant Kingdom. Later in this issue will be the requirements and responsibilities of the Kingdom Officer. Please address your letters of application to my office ([email protected]) and the office of the Seneschal ([email protected]).
Letters must be submitted by April 30, 2025, so that a decision may be made by the Curia officers before Crown Tournament where the announcement of the successor will be made. Transition of the office will happen after Pennsic War so that I may work with the incumbent on the process and needs of being one of the Principal Heralds at War.
Kindest regards,
Baron Gilebert le braceeur de Dijon, OL
