The Pale – April Letter from the KEM

Greetings, Midrealm!

This month I would like to put the spotlight on Hound Coursing. Did you know that you don’t need a period dog breed to participate in hound coursing? That’s right, there are NO breed restrictions! Which means you can bring out your corgi or Labrador, your retriever or Weimaraner – every breed gets to play.

Here is where I need your help: there aren’t a lot of opportunities throughout the year for coursing. If you are having an event with a flat 150′ x 150′ area of unused real estate, you should contact the Kingdom Coursing Officer to see if you can get a marshal to come out and run some canine activities. These people are happy to do their utmost best to oblige; they just need to know you would like to have coursing at your event.

You can reach Dame Alaina Blackram, our Kingdom Deputy for Hound Coursing, at coursing(at) midrealm.org. She would love to hear from you.

As always, aim true and fight with honor,

Baron Robert Thorne, OP
Kingdom Earl Marshal, Middle Kingdom
